Retail prices only : Fresh butter, in lumps and prints, Is 2d to Is 4d per lb, and the quantity coining in from the dories increasing ; powdered and salt butter, best, Is 2d per lb ; salt butter in kegs is quite unseeable, and no improvement looked for. Cheese—mat ket stock and large stock still in the hands of the dairy farmers ; for good, (id to 8d per lb. Side and rolled bacon, Od to lOd per lb. Colonial hams, Is per lb ; English haras, Is 4d to Is Gd, English cheese, Is 4d per lb, but very unsaleable Eggs very plentiful, and selling at Is per dozen.
