OTAGO DOCK TRUST.

At the adjourned meeting of tlje Dock Trust yesterday the committee brought up their report, and recommended the following scale of charges and regulations for tbo use of the Dock : Ist. All vessels will be liable to a dock rate according to the following scale: Vessels of 1 000 tons aud upwards, fid per t n per day; 900 aud under 1000, 6|d per ton per day ; Bl>o and under 900, do ; 700 and under 800, 6|J do ; 600 and under 700, 7d do ; 500 and under 600, 7jd do; 400 and under 500, 7£d do ; 300 and under 400, 7Jd do ; uuder-300 tons, 8d do. 2nd. 'Double rates will be charged for the day of docking. 3rd. The dock dues will include and cover the cost of pumping, shoring, wedges, and blocking, and the cost of all labor connected with opening aud closing the dock, and all incidental labor connected with the docking of the vessel. 4th. The Board will not undertake the repair of a vessel, and all parties availing themselves of the use of the dock will bo required to make their own arrangements for this service, and provide all necessary labor for the same. sth. The Board will not hold themselves responsible for any accident occurring to a vessel while dogking, undocking, or when in dock. 6tb. The officers and workmen of any vessel whilst in dock will be required strictly to adhere to the regulations of .the establishment. 7tb. The captain, master, or pilot of a vessel, after making fast to any buoy or bollard off the mouth of the dock for the purpose of entering, will henceforth be required to att cud to the directions of the officer of the dockyard superintending the docking or undocking of the vessel. Bth. Applications for the use of the dock or machinery will be registered in the order of their receipt, but the Board reserves to itself the right of determining the order of priority in special cases, such as mon-of-war or mail steamers. 9th. Vessels registering and not arriving at the dock at the time appointed to enter, will be liable to the forfeiture of their turn on the register, and will also be held responsible for any expenditure that may have been ncurred to dock them. 10th. Vessels will be admitted into the dock on the application of the owner or master, who will be held responsible for the payment of all docs and charges. 1 Ith. No vessel will he permitted to enter the dock with powder ■or other combustible matter on board.

On the motion of Mr Burns, they were adopted. Tiie repopfc of the committee appointed to confer with Mr Connor was read, and, on the motion of Mr Tayi.ee, its recommendations were approved ; and they were empowered to ascertain from him (without prejudice) whether ho will accept the terms offered.
