Wellington*. August 26. By the new Education Bill Provincial Councils’ may elect others than members to the Education Board f r each Province. It is improbable that the provisions of tho B ll will prove acceptable. Mr W. H. Hanison moves for the abolition of tb o-County Council of Westland, and to substitute District Boards instead.
The compositors in the Government Printing Office are still ou strike. Tbe compositors brought from Napier decline to accept tbe terms offered.
