The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £371) 6a 1 Id. In breadstuff's we have to report a much livelier tone in the market. Transactions in flour have been numerous, and country orders ara coming to hand for larger quantities than hare been given of late. Lots are C’ ed to the town bakers at Ll4 10s, for brands offering. As no guarantee is given with the quality, bakers are scarcely inclined to buy without first trying it. Bran is supplied to the trade at L 3. Stocks are heavy, and there is little prospect of an improvement for at least the next six weeks. For the former qualities of wheat there is no change. Damaged and inferior parcels are really the only kinds in which there is anything doing—these are purchased at 4s to ss. Oats quiet, but ■lightly firmer. The demand for barley is trifling ; feeding samples are still unsaleable, Wheat, best, 5s 6d to 5s 8d ; inferior, 4s to 5s ; oats, 2s 3d to 2s 5d ; barley, malting, 3s 9d; feeding, 2s 3d ; flour, Ll4 10s S>d; inferior, L 9 to LI2 10s; pollard, 10s; bran, with'bags, L 4 ; oatmeal, Ll4; pearl barley, L2O; potatoes, L 3; chaff, L 4 10s; hay, L 4 10s ; onions, LIS.
