Beautiful Star, for Lyttelton and intermediate ports, sailed about the same hour. The brig Union, from Hobart Town, bound to Timaru,J was signalled at the Heads yesterday afternoon. The s.s. Ahuriri arrived from Lyttelton this morning, and reports having left that port on Monday night at 6 p.m. Arrived at Akaroa at 11 p.m., left at midnight, arrived at Timaru at 10 a.m. next morning, left at 7 p.m., and arrived at Oamaru at 1 a. in. next day, left at 1 p.m., and arrived and anchored at Otago Heads last night at 9 a. m. She experienced stormy head winds from Oamaru to her arrival. The s.s. Storm Bird, from Martin’s Bay and intermediate ports, arrived this morning. Her last port of call was Kaitangi. where she discharged her Bluff cargo and loaded for this port. A ketch, said to be the Eliza M'Phee from Catlin’s River, was reported at anchor outside the Heads this morning.
