The last-named prisoner was sentenced to 24 hours’ imprisonment for indecency. AN ABSCONDER Jane Kirby, who made her apppearanco in the dock dressed in a most extraordinary style, was charged with absconding from hired service as an inmate of the Industrial School. Tbe police gave her a very had character ; and she was ordered back to the Reformatory, his Worship stating that he should have liked to have given her some punishment ; but the Aot did not allow him to do so.
