RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT, PORT CHALMERS.
This Day. (Before Thomas Taylor, Esq., and Captain Thomson, J.P.’s DISOBEDIENCE OF ORDERS. Javett | Lindgreen, John Matson, and Martin Ekinann, all articled seamen on board the ship Jean Sands, were charged by Captain Lcfavour, and convicted of continued wilful disobedience of orders contrary to the Merchant Shipping Act of 1854, and sentenced to six weeks imprisonment with hard labor, were this afternoon received into the gaol, escorted by Constablo Nicholl.
