The barque Premier, Bowman, master, came ashore at the point at two a.in,, while trying to get to sea. wind failed, and the vessel drove on the rocks stern foremost. She is likely to become a total wreck. No lives were lost. The vessel is valued at three thousand pounds, and is insured in the New Zealand Office for fifteen hundred. She is abandoned to the underwriters. Auckland, July 28. The Luna arrived to-day. The Governor leaves by her on Tuesday for Wellington. The share market is very active. Caledonians have been freely sold at LI 95 ; Thames’s and Tookeys at L3B ; Nonpareil at LI 10s. The Caledonian’s next dividend is expected to bo from Lls to L2O. Mr Wynn, Solicitor, died on Wednesday. The Flirt has just arrived from Fijis. She reports the murder of two settlers najued M'lntyre and Spiers. The JatnCvS patterson sailed fqp Sydney yesterday, with 25 passengers, There is no sign of the Wellington.
