In grain the market is still dull, and business for the last week lias been confined to the executing of trade orders. We notice that a go d deal of flour is being shipped to Northern ports, and. from, the quotations at these places we doubt not but a profitable market will be found for surplus stocks. Flour here is steady at Lls-millers stocks are light. Oatmeal is in good demand for shipment, and meets with a ready sale at Ll4 IDs. Bran is overstocked. Fodard senroe. Best milling samples of wheat are without change, os 9d per bushel, being the value. Slightly damaged lots arc not wanted, but may bo quoted at from 4s 9d to 5s 3d. Oats are well supplied, milling samples are quitted at 2s 4d and 2s 5d ; good feted rag,. 2s 3d; discolored at 2s. In barley there has been nothing done ; the market is full of second class lots, which cannot be disposed ef at airy price. Heady good Potatoes are badly supplied. Wheat, 5s 9d. Oats, 2e 3d to 2s sd. Barley, malting, 4s ; feeding, 2s 3d. Flour, LI 5. Oatmeal, Ll4 10s. Pearl barley, L2O. Bran and pollard, including bags, L 4 10s. Hay, L 4 1 Os. Chaff, L 4 10s. Straw, L2 10s. Potatoes, L 3. A. Mercer reports for the week ending today Retail prices—Fresh butter, in lumps and prints, Is 3d to Is 4d per lb, salt blitter, Is 2d ; salt butter, in .kegs, slow of sale, 8d to Oil per lb. Eggs, 2s per dozen, and scarce. Bason, rolled and ride, lOd per lb ; Colonial hams, Is per lb; English bams, Is 4d to Is 6d per lb. Colonial cheese. 7d to 9d per lb ; English cheese, is 4d per lb.
