The evidence left little doubt that she had given the brooch to Burke, who was discharged, the Bench stating that he left the Court without a stain on his character. THEFT. Agnes Weir, the girl who was charged yesterday with stealing a petticoat, was sentenced to 48 hours’ imprisonment.
