Mr Tiioxemax met the electors of Bell Ward at the iloyal George Hotel ; there was a very large attendance, and Mr William Woodland was called to the chair, who ntroduced the candidate. Mr ThoxbsuU da coming forward was

In answer to Mr Hasskias, Mr Thoneman s'ated that both before and since Mr Birch had announced himself as a candidate, Mr Fish had stated that he would not come forward to contest the clection.
