“Chinese cheap labour” is marking out new courses for itself in Kew South Wales. Two Chinamen have started as bushrangers, and tried to rob the Araluen mail. The attempt, however, was frustrated, and the heathen highwaymen were arrested. The name of Dr Dunn, of Maryborough, was recently at a dinner there coupled with the toast of “ The Parliament.” The doctor declined to reply, on the ground that having done nothing dishonorable, he should not have been included in the toast. Mr Bowman, ex-member, then responded.
