John Duff beat Harris in the quarter-mile Hurdle Race, with fit) yards handicap. In the 120 yards’ Handicap Race, Hewitt was closely run by Dickson, who had 20 yards start. Hewitt and Harris in the 100 yards match, straight running, came in neck and neck. In the pigeon match, for L3O a side, on Monday, Mr Scott, of Dunedin, lost. He only killed sixteen out of thirty-six birds.
