MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day, (Before his Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. John B. 0. Fhaherty, Thomas Davies alias John Jones, and Jacob Long, wir > each fined 5s ; John Gately and Mary Jarvey, old offenders. 40s or 14 days hard labor. Gately was further fined 34s for damaging constable Coney’s uniform ; and Mary Jarvey was sent to gaol for three months for being a habitual drunkard. Two charges of drunkenness preferred against James Fulton, were dismissed, it being intimated that the friends of the accused intended to send him to England. NEGLECTED CHILDREN. Patrick Gately and Mary Ann Gale I}’' 1 }’' were sent to the Industrial School for seven years, to be brought up in the Homan Catholic form of religion ; the father to contribute 2s fid weekly towards the support of each child. THEFT. John Wood, charged with stealing 35s from the bar till of the Volunteer Hotel, Green Island, was remanded till Thursday.
