This Day, (Before his Worship the Mayor.) THU LICENSING OU DIVAN OK. On Alexander Lawson’s case, adjourned flora yesterday, being called ou, his Worship said he was of opinion that the 34th see. of the Act of 1865 did not apply to the holders of a bottle license. Tho ease was therefore dismissed with a guinea costs. In answer to a remark by the revenue officer, his worship stated he did not think any one believed Mr Lamb had acted from improper motives ; he had acted according to tlie best of bis judgment, But his lutes prctatlon of the section under which ho had acted, had been wrong. Cases against Wm. McLaren, Joseph Gregory, James Morecombe, and James Bussell were withdrawn.
