Pout Chalmers, June 7. At 2 p.m. to-day, a procession proceeded to the site of Holy Trinity Church in the following order : School children, Foresters, Churchwardens, Trustees, Bishops, Clergy. A public and solemn service according to the Church of England formula was read by the Bishop of Dunedin, assisted by the Rev. Messrs Stanley, Grainger, Edwards, and Lay Reader Downes. The Bishop gave an impressive address, terminating with the benediction. Taukaxga, June 7. There is some excitement amongst the Natives engaged on the Taupo and Tauranga road. Two of them went to catch wild pigs, and one of them is missing. Commissioner Clarke left Auckland yesterday on important business.
