W. gales that have prevailed for the last few days, the movements of the have been somewhat retarded. The s.s. Ta'roa for the Molynenx is yet in Port, the steamers Beautiful Star and Storm Bird that sailed for Invercargill are anchored inside the Heads waiting until the gale subsides. A ketch, supposed to be the “ Edinburgh ” that loadsi grain on the coast for Invercargill is anchored outside the Head*. There was no appearance, when our despatch left, of the ship (supposed to bo the Helenslee) that pa'sed the heads on Monday tirenoon; and should the S.W. gales continue, it may bo yet some days before she again arrives at the heads, but though there is every reason to believe that it was the Helenslee that passed on Monday last, the VOS si in passing was too far off land to bo reoognised with certainty, and it may yet pro re to have been some ship bound to a N >rthem port.
