(from greville’s telegram company, reutek’s agents.) Tauuanoa, May 10. Charles Harley, a publican, residing at Katikati, was arrested yesterday on a charge of selling ammunition. The case was heard to-day, and resulted in his committal for trial at tho next criminal sittings of the Supreme Court. Mr. Commissioner Clarke meets the Hauhaus to-morrow.

Hokitika, May 10. The criminal sittings of the Supreme Court commenced to-day. The calendar was exceptionally light, there being only live cases for trial, and none of them were important. The Grand Jury returned a true bill in each case. In his charge to the Grand Jury Judge Richmond paid a touching tribute to thelmemory of Mr. Abbott, the late registrar.
