(from grevillk’s telegram company, renter's agents.) Blenheim, May 1. It is reported that the barque Malay, loading wool at Port Underwood, took lire at 4 p.ra. yesterday. It is believed the fire was extinguished, but no particulars are known. Taukanga, May 1. Amidst threats from the Ilauhaus the Government seem determined to extend the telegraph to Katikati. Mr.
Lloyd, with his staff, is engaged laying out the line, and all the material has arrived. Grace is the name of the clergyman who prompted the natives to their present obstructive course of action.
