The Taranki, from Auckland, brings news that liopata killed twenty-five of Te Kooti's followers, and took a number of prisoners, but it requires confirmation. The Uriwcra followers of Te Kooti left their women and abandoned him, surrendering themselves to ilopata, who has returned with thirty prisoners. Tauranga, April 29. The great road to Tanpo has suffered greatly through interference with the natives. The ll.auhaus persist in their threats to prevent the extension oi the telegraph line to Kati-kati.
