George Leslie’s application to purchase section 9, b ojk 5, Waitahuua, was ap : prove I. An application to cut timber on 5 acres, by Mr Dalrymple for Smith and Dean, was granted, subject to the consent of the runholder. D. A. Douglas’s offer of L 5 per acre annually for a lease of section 210, block 4, Papakaio, and James Reid’s letter, asking protection for t took graz'ng on the Traquair Hundred, were referred to the Secretary for Land and Works and the Government. P. B. Boult’s application, through Gillies and Street, for valuation of sections q and 6, block 20, Kinloch, was referred to John Spence to say if imp- ovements were put up before survey. James Bowley’s license to occupy the res rvc at Outram was renewed for one year. The consideration of Mr Reid’s application for a lca*e of ground on the bank of the Clutha, was deferred until plans were prepared. On Connell and Moodie’s application for a lease of the quarry xeserve for John Orr, adjoining sections 21 and 22, block 10, Oamaru, it was resolved to reserve the quarry, and put up the remainder of the section by auction at an upset price of L2 per acre. Thomas Tracey’s offer to have part of section 11, block 11, Oamaru, put up to auction, was referred to the Government. J. H. Harris’s application to have sections 4, 5, and 6, block 1(5, Waihola, and section 31, block 6, Maungatua, offered for sale, was approved Mr Gillies’s application for a plan of the proposed survey under Green’s Settlement Act, 1870, was agreed to.
