MAILS CLOSE — FW Oamaru, per p.s. Wallace on Friday, the 24th inst., at 8.45 a.m. Per s.s. Phoebe on Friday, the Ist April as under:— For the Northern Provinces of New Zealand. America, West Indies, &c., the Continent of Europe, and the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 1 p,m. For late letters with late fees as under at l.dO p.m. : For Northern Ports of New Zealand, 2d per letter. For the United Kingdom, 6d per letter, or all other places one additional single rate per letter For newspapers at 10 a.m. For registered letters and issue of money orders at 10 a.m. Late letter s will be token by the mail agent up to the time of the sailing of the Golden Age. N.B,—Thursday being a public holiday, this office will be closed. Lo-al mails will be made up at 8 o’clock the previous evening. ARCH, BARR, Chief Postmaster.
