. , WAIvARL The nomination of candidates for the Wakari district took place to-day, at noon. The following gentlemen were proposed Mr George Hepburn—proposed by Mr Charles Robertson, and seconded by Mr .Anri s Macmillan. Mr Henry Drivir—proposed by Mr Alexander Wilson, seconded by Mr Andrew Hurr. Mr David Millar—proposed hyMrßirjiard Sandila.'Ds. and seconded by Mr Will a.m Shedden. A show oi hands gave the following result:—Mr Hepburn, S; Mr Driver, 4; and Mr Millar, 4. A poll was demanded by Mr Millar. The election will take place in the Drill Shed, ivaikorai, on the 20th inst. OAMARE COUNTRY. The nomination of candidates for the representation of the Oamaru country district took place on Thursday. Dr Webster and Mr D. Hutcheson were proposed. A poll will be taken on Monday. THE LAKES. The nomination took place at Queenstown to-day, and was well attended. Messrs Haughton, J. W. Robertson, and Adams were Mr Adams withdrew his nomination. Messi’s Haughton and Robertson were declared duly elected. CLUTHA. . At the nomination yesterday Messrs D. Henderson, J. W. -Thomson, D. Maitland, and A. D. J ohusou were proposed. WAIHOLA. Messrs A, Mollisou and W. J. Dyer were nominated yesterday. The poll takes p’ace on Tuesday.
