GENTLEMEN,— The Central Committee for promoting the return of Mr Macandrew, having brought the late contest for the Superintendency to a successful issue, believe that the duty still devolves upon them of using every effort to return to the Provincial Council members who will, without committing themselves to every measure proposed by his Honor the Superintendent, support in the main the policy enunciated by that gentleman, more especially the General Government scheme for promoting Public Works, &c. In furtherance of this object they recommend 'to the Constituci cy for their support the gentlemen whose names aie given below, but disclaim the intention of in any way appearing to dictate to the electors.
