A, Mercer report for the week : Fresh butter, in prints and lump, 9d to lOd, according to- quality : prime salt butter, 71 d to Bd, but little demand. Provincial cheese, Gd to 8d per lb, anti very plentiful; quality equal to any imported. No demand for English cheese. Colonial hams and bacon, lOd to la per lb, and in good demand ; English hams, Is 6d per lb. Eggs still scarce, and Is fid per doz.
