IHE NORTH PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION •COMPANY of San Francisco, having entered into a contract with the Honorable the PostmasterGeneral of New Zealand for the conveyance of Mails between San Francisco, Honolulu, Fiji, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers, and vice versa, the dates of sailing will be from Port Chalmers on the Ist and from Auckland on the 7th of every month, to commence from Port Chalmers on the Ist of April next. The Service will be performed by the Powerful Side-wheel Steamers the NEBRASKA, 2143 Tons Register, NEVADA, 3143 Tons Register, and DAKOTA, Of 2163 Tons Register; All built in 1865, under official supervision, and classed extra A I at American Lloyds, For Passenger accommodation, these vessels are unsurpassed by any afloat;. Perfect arrangements have been made to connect with the Pacific Railway, and with the magnificent lines of steamers running between New York and England. Passengers will be booked right through. First-class fare, from all ports in New Zealand to England, including the use of the celebrated Silver Palace Oars over the American Continent will not exceed LBS. Second and third-class fiassengcrs will be taken at proportionately ow rates. Return tickets at a reduced rate will be' issued, and passengers will be allowed to remain over at any and all ports and stations called at. The contract time between San Francisco and Auckland, and vice versa in 24 days. Passengers who may desire to proceed right through will reach England within 40 days flora Auckland. Every exertion will bo made to make this the popular passenger route. Arrangements will be made to connect in New Zealand with the intercolonial steamers so that Australasian passengers may be conveyed right through at a slight increase upon New Zealand rates.
