IN pursuance of “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1870,” I, John Burnside, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Caversham, do hereby give notice, that, by virtue of a writ, bearing date the seventh clay of February, 1871, under the Public Seal of the Colony, an Election will be held for the return of One Member to serve in the Provincial Council of Otago for the said District, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Schoolhouse, Caversham, at noon on the twenty-second day af March, 1871, and that the Poll, if necessary, will be taken on the twentyseventh day of March, 1871.
