The steamer Duly Young was wrecked on a voyage from Brisbane. The passengers were saved. One million two hundred and twenty thousand sovereigns were issued from the Sydney mint last year. Lawlessness is reported to be spreading at Fiji, Adelaide.
The Rev. Mr Haining, for thirty year’s resident and the first Presbyterian minister here, has retired, Wheat is firm at 4s 9d to 4s 9Jd.
