Evening Star Office, Saturday evening. The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £324 11s Id. tn bread stuffs the market is quiet. Bakers and dealers are not inclined to go beyond immediate wants, as there is every likelihood of prices being considerably easier whenever there is a fair supply of the new grain in the market. There has been no new wheat offering, and any old lots for sale are indisposable from 4s 6d to 4s 9d ; there, however, is none tn the market but what will be used before the new crop is ready for grinding. New oats are now being offered, and for superior humpies 2s 9d has been obtained. Parcels of old are scarce, and are in request at 2s 9d to 3s. Barley, 2s 6d to 3s ; no enquiry. Flour, Ll3; scarce. Inferior do, L9to LI I 10s; food supply. Pollard and bran, including as»S, L 4 15s. Oatmeal, Ll6 10s. Pearl barley, L2O. Interior wheat, 2s 6d to 3s 6d. Straw, L2 10s. Chaff, L 4 ss. Potatoes {new), L 5. Hay (new), L 4. Mr A. Mercer reports for the week :—Fresh butter in prints and lump, 7d to 9d per lb., according to quality ; prime Provincial salt butter in kegs, ?id to Bd, but no demand. Provincial cheese, 6d to 8d per lb., and 'Coming in Very plentiful, and quality equal to Canterbury. English cheese, no demand. Colonial hams, lOd to Is per lb. Rolled bacon, lOd per lb. English hams, best brands, Is 6d per lb. Eggs very scarce, Is 6d per doz.
