THE DRIVER-TREWEEK LETTER.
To the Editor of the Emmy Star. Sin, —Will Mr Sievwright (chairman of Mr Donald Reid’s Committee) inform the public the reason that he allowed six days to elapse before he denied that neither the Chairman nor the Committee were parties to the Driver-Treweek placard ? Was it not “industriously circulated for electioneering purposes,” to use his own words, during the whole of the week ? Again, will Mr Sievwright (or Mr Dick) deny that Mr Booth, collector for Messrs Mills, Dick, and Co., received the order to print the placard from the Secretary of Mr Donald Reid’s Committee in the Committee Booms ; that he (Mr Booth) entered the said order to the account of the said Committee ; and that Messrs Mills, Dick, and Co. charged the printing of the said placard to Mr Donald Reid's Committee ‘I [ am, &c„ Avn-SorifißXKV. Dunedin, February 14.
