The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £227 2s 7d-

In breadstuffs quotations remain without alterations since last week. First class milling wheat is worth from 4s 9d to 5s per bushel, there however is little or nunc in the market beyond what is in hands of millers or parties who are having it gristed. There is an abundant supply of inferior kinds Which is being variously offered from 2s fid to 3s 9d per bushel. Oats, 2s 9d feeding and 3s for milling samples, with no transactions to note further than trade lots. Barley, 2s 6d to 3s, no enquiry. Flour, best provincial brands, is in very limited supply, and holders refuse to quit under Ll3 per ton; there is a decided improvement both in the town and country demand. The trade is well supplied with second class flour, which may be had from L 9 to Ll2 per. ton, the cheaper rates generally being iiubranded. Pollard and bran, L 5 10s, inclusive of bags. Oatmeal, Ll6 10s, Pearl barley, L 22 very limited demand. Straw, L2 10s to L2 15s. Chaff, L 4 to L 4 10s. Potatoes (new), L 5. Hay (new) L 4 5s ; (old), L 5. Mv A. Mercer reports retail prices of fresh (and salt butter for the week, ,7d to 9d, according to quality; prime salt butter in keg, to 8d per lb ; demand very dull. ’ New season’s cheese, very plentiful, 7d to 8d per lb; old do, lOd to Is. Eggs, Is 3d per jloz., and iii good demand. Driver, Stewart, and Co. report for the week ending 28t'h Jauuary •: — Fat Cattle.—W# have to report continued dullness in the market None have been yarded, but the demand lias been met by supplies coming to hand privately. Our quotations are, for prime quality, I7s 6d to lßs6d; medium, 15s per lOOlbs. Fat Sheep.—The demand is limited, and but few sales bare been effected. Quotations unaltered.

Store Sheep.—We have more frequent-en-quiry for this class of stock, and have to report the following sales—viz , 5,000 4 and C-tooth wethers at 4s 3d, and 3,000 5-tocrth do. at 3s Od. Wool.—Our sale on the 25th iust, was largely attended, and most of the lots offered were competed for with spirit. We catalogued 1,108 hales, of which 542 bales, changed hands at satisfactory prices ; greasy fetched from 4gd to O.ld per lb ; and washed 11 |d to 14fd per lb. Latest telegrams from the Home market report wool trade brisk. Flax.—Some parcels of superior quality are now coming forward, but there is no local demand.
