IN pursuance of “ The Regulation of Elections Act, 18/0,” I, John Burnside, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Otago, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ bearing date the thirty-first day of December, 1870, under the Public Seal of the Colony, an election will be held for the return of a Superintendent oi the Province of Otago, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Provincial Government Buildings, Dunedin, at noon on the Twenty-first day of January, 1871, and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on the twentieth day of Febuary, 1871.
