January 12, All idluvial goldfield is reported to have been discovered at Coromandel to-day near the new wharf and part of the old Rapanga Company’s ground. Half a pennyweight has been obtained to the dish, and numbers of claims have been worked out. The Duke of Edinburgh visits us in the Colonial Government’s steamer Luna on Friday.
