The number of competitors was much greater than last year, and he hoped the funds of the Society would so increase that it might be enabled to give large? pymess in futare. It was the intention of the Society to cultivate intellect as much as to encourage athletic sports, and be hoped it would soon be in a position to found Scholarships for the High School and bursaries for the University.
