BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.

ARRIVED. Picton : 30tli Dec, 10 a.m, Kangitoto from Nelson. , Bluff : 30th Dec, 9.50 a.m, Phcebe from Dunedin, SAILED Picton : 30th Dec, 11.40 a.m, Raugitoto for Wellington. The brigantine Yarra that arrived on Saturday last from Newcastle coal laden, was towed to Dunedin by the Geelong yesterday. Her cargo, estimated at about 200 ton?, has been disposed of to Mr Findlay. The Yarra when discharged will proceed to Malden Island to load guano. The brig Nil Desperandum for Newcastle is now ballasting and will sail from the Port to-day. The Board of Health held a meeting yesterday when it was resolved that the ship Robert Henderson be admitted to pratique, and that on further inquiry should no other cases of sickness appear the passengers now on Quarantine Island be admitted to pratique at an early-date. Arrangements were made to-day for removing the ship from the quarantine ground to a discharging berth. The ship James Nichol Fleming for London, with passengers and cargo, has now the most of her sails bent evidencing a preparation for sea. The loading of this ship has been conducted with great despatch. We are informed that there is now on hoard upwards of 5000 bales of wool, about 4;) tons of preserved meats, and other cargo, and that, but for a detention yesterday in the supply of wool, the loading would have been completed, about 70 bales only being required to fill up the square of thejhatcncs. The stay of this tine ship in port is now reduced to a few days, and from the well-known character of the J. N, Fleming as on i of the finest clipper ships visiting this port, and the. reputation she earned under the command of Captain P. Logan in making splendid passages, we have no doubt but that her her prestige will be fully maintained on the homeward passage.
