He states that the claimants arc remnants of the slaughter by Raid. Queenstown, Dec. 24. There his been a great rush for land on the Martin’s Bay route. Four thousand acres have been applied for. The people are clamorous for free selection and deferred payments. The land is excellent in quality, and was discovered by Mr Sherrin, of Canterbury. It is expected that gold will bo found there.
