ARRIVED, ■ Wellington : 20th Dec, 8.45 a.m, Airedale from Picton with English Mail. SAILED. Wellington : 20th Dec, 11.40 a.m, Omeo for Lyttelton. Hokitika : 20th Dec, 8.30 a.m, Alhambra for Melbourne. The p.s. Wallace from Molyneux with considerable cargo on board arrived last night, and transhipped this morning to the May Queen 98 biles of wool, and to the J. N. Fleming, 52 bales. The remainder of her cargo including 85 bags of oats Avas forwarded to Dunedin by the Golden Age at 9 a.m. Having coaled and received passengers and cargo for Oamaru, the Wallace sailed at 11.30, having in toAV turn new surf boats built by Messrs Jackson, at Port Chalmers, to the order of Mr Shields of Oamaru. Their dimensions are—2Bft long, 9ft beam, and 3ft Sin depth ; and in addition to other improA'cments in strength and construction are plated Avith iron on the upper streak; extra stringers running fore and aft increase their stability, and fit them for the heavy work for which they are intended by the new Landing Company at Oamaru. The brig Nil Despcrandum that arrived yesterday from Newcastle Avith a cargo of coals, was towed by the Geelong to Dunedin on the forenoon flood.
