His Honor the Superintendent has received a telegram from his Excellency the Governor, congratulating him on the completion of the telegraph. His Excellency telegraphs : “Rotorua, December 19. “ I congratulate your Honor on the completion of the telegraph to the Lake District of Auckland, which I am nowvisiting with tho Duke of Edinburgh. In February I hope to bo in the Lake District of Otago. His Royal Highness desires me to toll you that he has a very pleasant recollection of his visit lest year to Otago, and that he would
be very glad to visit your Province again wore his orders not imperative to sail for England early in January. “ G. F. Bowen.”
