MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor, and G. Brodie, Esq., J.P.) DRUNKENNESS. John Gately, was fined L 5, or 14 days imprisonment. KEEPING A DISORDERLY HOUSE, Julia Patrick, was sent to gaol for three months for this offence. INFORMATIONS UNDER THE BYE-LAWS. Hugh Brady, was fined 5s and costs; Samuel Clark, 2s Gd and costs ; and Richard Atkinson, mulcted in costs, for allowing cattle to wander, and George Brodrick, for allowing a horse tq be at large, was fined 2s 6d and costs. George Metcalfe, for having no name on his dray, was fined 2s Gd and costs, and for placing timber (the upsetting of which, a few evenings ago, caused the breaking of a child’s leg), in Albert street, 40s and costs. DESERTION. r .therine Barnes v. William B arnes, was ■: charge of wife desertion. The Bench considered that there was no evidence of desertion, the defendant having remitted money to his wife within the last month, aud dismissed the case.
