The brig Zingari from the Mauritius with a cargo of sugar consigned to Messrs Turnbull and Co, and the s.s. Lord Ashley from Northern Ports arrived at an early hour this morning. The s.s. Taranaki from the North arrived about 10 a.m, shortly after anchoring a salute of seven guns was fired by a party of the Naval Brigade, commanded by Captain J. B. Robertson. The Union Jack was also hoisted at the Flagstaff Hill and Government Buildings, in honor of the distinguished visitor on board the Taranaki. The steam dredge was to-day placed iu the dock.
