MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor. DRUNKENNESS. Robert Jackson and James Mu ; r were each fined ss; and a charge preferred against Harriet Farra was adjourned until to-morrow, to enable her to bring forward rebutting testimony. A charge of using profane language, preferred against the last-named prisoner, was also adjourned until to-morrow. RESISTING POLICE. Samuel Stephens, for resisting Constable Sherar in the execution of his duty, was fined L 5, or in default a month’s imprisonment, INFORMATIONS UNDER THE RYE-LAWS, Hugh Frascr was charged with exposing goods for sale. It was admitted by the police that the goods did not project over the fuetpath, but the case had been brought to try bow far the bye-law met a case of that sort. His Worship took until Monday to consider his decision.
