OTAGO YACHT CLUB.

Two sailing matches, in connection with the Otago Yacht Club, come off to morrow. There will bo two races, as follows Ist Pace. —Ist prize, 20 sovs. ; 2nd prize, 10 sovs. Open to Club yachts measuring 6 tons and upwards. Distance, 12 miles. Anonyma, 10 tons, Mr Guthrie ; red, white border. Dauntless, 9 tons, Mr Haggit; red ensign. Gipsy, 9 tons, Mr Street; rod, white diamond. Spray, 9 tons, Mr Hay ; blue. Loyal Alfred, 7 tons, Mr Mason ; red. Belle, 6 tons, Mr Gibbs; white. Frolic, 6 tons, Mr Green ; red, 2nd Pace. —Prize, 10 sovs. Open to Club yachts measuring 5 tons and under. Distance, 12 miles. Cygnet, 4 tons, Mr Fordyce ; red, white diamond. Torment, 3 tons, Mr Hay ; white. Annie, 2 tons, Mr Gibbs ; red, white, and blue. The first of these will start from Pelichet Bay Jetty at 9 o’clock, and the second one hour after the finish of the first. The course will be from the starting point round buoy boats in Macandrew’s Bay, and off the end of the retaining wall, twice round. Time will be allowed between the yachts, according to Club scale. In the first race, the Anonyma allows the Dauntless, Gipsy, and Spray 524 seconds, the Loyal Alfred 2 minutes 524 seconds, and the Belle and Frolic 4 minutes. In the second race the Cygnet allows the Torment 1 min. 15 secs, and the Annie 2 min. 374 secs. hVom these figures the amount allowed by each yacht to ail the others can easily be ascertained. Captain Thomson, Harbor Master, and Mr E. B. Cargill, will officiate as officers of the day, and Gapt. Dickie as starter.
