The Evening Post of last night says that the Press Association lias commenced the action against the operator at the Bluff for tampering with their telegrams. Invercargill, November 18. An agitation has been got up against the removal of the signal station from the Bluff; also against the removal of the police. A remonstrance will be forwarded to the Council next mail. Christchurch, November 18. The Superintendent yielded to the Executive ; nevertheless the Council last evening passed, without a digseutent voice, Mr Williams’s motion, which virtually condemns the Superintendent’s pievimis action.
