A telegram received states that Mr Gisborne and party have arrived at Wairarapa through Rochefort’s truck, and that his railway line proves a decided success, The gradient all through is from 1 in 45 to 1 in 40. Christchurch, November 16. Mr John Inglis has been returned without opposition to the Provincial Council, for Christchurch, in the room of Mr Wynn Williams.
