MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor, and W. H. Reynolds, Esq., J.P.) DRUNKENNESS. John Hart was fined 10s. false pretences. William Roberts was charged, on warrant, with having at Naseby, on the sth October, obtained from one Ephelet Hall a horse, valued at L 27, by means of false pretences; and on the application of the Commissioner of Police, was remanded for a week. , INFORMATIONS UNDER THE BYE-LAWS. The adjourned cases against Elizabeth Bills, Clement Jones, George Sutton, and Mary Ann Austin, for haying unregistered dogs, were disposed of. With the exception of Sutton, whos) account of the manner in which he had disposed of h‘s dog did not appear to the Bench to be satisfactory, the defendant! had taken out the necessary certificate of registration, and were discharged. Sutton was lined 40s and cost!.— Alexander Kirkland, for allowing cattle to stray, was fined 5s and costs; and William Sampson and Alexander Muir, for a similar ■ ffeuce, 10s and 15s respectively, together with costs.
