The extortionate prices hitherto charged in Dunedin have led us to investigate by experiment the various processes of making asphalt, with a view of reducing the charges on this industry, and we are happy to say that our labors have been rewarded with success. We arc enabled to reduce the present price to 3s Gd per yard. This wonderful change lias been partly brought about by the discovery that the Chemical Elements of Asphalt are not of that expensive nature represented by the Firm who have been employed at this industry. The above reduction only refers to the best class of work ; a still further reduction will be made for yards of private houses, and garden walks, &c. Wo have made every arrangement for carrying on this business on a large scale, and we hope the discerning public will come forward and support us by their patronage. See future advertisements.
