(FROM GREVXLLE’S telegram company, keuter’s agents.) Wellington, October 18. The report of the Mamiwatu case having been settled was copied from the Post. It is not true. The Eloclra, from London, has arrived ; ninety-five days out. She brings sixteen passengers. Bluff, October 18. The Wallace, with his Honor the Superintendent, and Messrs Reid, Duncan, Mouat, and Commissioner Weldon, arrived from Dunedin at II o'clock last night. To-day has been observed as a holiday in honor of his visit. An excursion train, with four hundred passengers, conveyed them to Invercargill and Wintou this morning. The Superintendent’s reception was enthusiastic. The train returned, running right through to Winton, and there were demonstrations at stoppages. The dejeuner, at which 150 sat down, is now taking place in the Exchange Hall.
