This Dav. (Before liis Worship tlic Mayor, and G. G. Bussell, Es(|., J. I*.) CAAIUUNC. Caleb Moore was charged with permitting gambling in bis licensed house. From the evidence it appeared that the accused had endeavored to induce the parties to desist from play, but was unable. The Bench cons idemt that the ollcpce in tips instance was
much modified by the efforts made by the defendant, and fined him in the mitigated penalty of 20s and costs. DRUNKENNESS. J«hn Collins, for being drunk and disorderly, was fined os, or 24 hours’ imprisonment.
