The extortionate prices hitherto charged in Dunedin have led us to investigate by experiment the various processes of making asphalt, with a view of reducing the charges on this industry, and avc are happy to say that our labors have been rewarded Avith success. We are enabled to reduce the present price to 3s 6d per yard. This AYonderful change has been partly brought about by the discovery that the Chemical Elements of Asphalt are not of that expensive nature represented by the Firm Avhohavc been employed at this industry, The above reduction only refers to the best class of work ; a still further reduction Avill be made for yards of private houses, and garden Avalks, &c.
