The steamer Auckland, from Fiji, arrived on the 17th. Fiji is overdone. The market is overstocked with goods. Particulars of the hate massacre state that Soloar’s people attacked a Christian village while the men were engaged planting, and killed 260 persons, principally women and children. The Samoa war is concluded.—The notorious Captain Hayes obtained all the cotton on the plantations, pretending [he had authority. He is supposed to have gone to China.
